Carrie Jay Sayer, Neighbor

Greetings!

I am Carrie Jay Sayer, Drama Director at Chelsea High School. My husband (Ben), my son (Logan), and my daughter (Paige) moved to the Village of Dexter on February 11, 2011.

I grew up in Chelsea (woohoo, Class of 1984!), and Ben is from Saline, so we feel right at home in this area. Prior to moving to Dexter, we lived in Ann Arbor for over seven years.

I am an actor, director, vocalist and coach. I have been teaching private acting and singing lessons for over a decade. My studio is attached to my home, just a few blocks from downtown Dexter. You can read more about my role as acting teacher and vocal coach at CarrieJayStudio dot com.

I love performing, directing, coaching, and being a mentor, wife and Mama.

Time at home is spent with Ben, Logan and Paige, playing games, exploring parks, creating art projects, building puzzles, playing t-ball, digging in the dirt, and cooking vegetarian meals. It is a joy that Ben works from home as an entrepreneur. We are homeschoolers (specifically unschoolers -- child-led and learning together in life) and love being together every day as a family.
