Chelsea Woman Caught Driving with Suspended License

Chelsea Police impounded a car near the intersection of Grant Street and West Summit Street on Saturday.

According to police reports, while on routine patrol, officers observed a vehicle driving down Grant Street. Officers noticed that the registration was expired nine months ago. A traffic stop was completed, and upon making contact with the driver, officers determined that a 65-year-old Chelsea woman had a suspended Michigan driver’s license. The vehicle was towed and impounded and the driver was issued a citation for driving on a suspended license, expired registration, and no proof of insurance.
