Chelsea Police Investigate Breaking & Entering

The following information was supplied by the Chelsea Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Chelsea police are investigating a breaking and entering in a building located in the 20000 block of W. Old US-12.

According to police reports, the building owner informed officers that side door of the building was pried open sometime between Jan. 25 and Feb. 5. Upon investigating, officers said it does not appear that anything inside the building was disturbed.

No further information was available from the police.

Pittsfield Township police took a woman into custody on Feb. 4 for a misdemeanor bench warrant served by the Chelsea Police Department after the woman failed to appear in court on a drug case.

According to Chelsea police, the 25-year-old Canton woman was transported to Washtenaw County Jail.

On Feb. 8, deputies with the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the 7400 block of Walsh Road in Webster Township for the report of a home invasion that had occurred sometime during the day. An unknown suspect or suspects forced entry into the home through a screened porch. Officers are still investigating the stolen items.
