Chelsea Home Broken Into While Under Construction

The following information was supplied by the Chelsea Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

Chelsea Police are investigating a burglary of a home located near the 300 block of East Middle Street.

According to police records, the homeowner contacted police on Dec. 12 to report that his residence, which is under construction, had been broken into. The owner stated that the rear door had been forced opened sometime either in the evening of Dec. 12 or the early morning of Dec. 13. No property was missing from the home at the time of the complaint.

Chelsea Dispatch was notified by the Farmington Hills Police Department that they had a subject in custody on a warrant from Washtenaw County on Dec. 20. The 19-year-old Whitmore Lake woman was placed under arrest for failing to appear on a minor in possession of alcohol case. The woman was taken to the Washtenaw County Jail, where she will be held pending a court hearing.
