Gerald Eddy Discovery Center in Chelsea Seeks Donations for Boardwalk Replacement

The Waterloo Natural History Association is raising $5,000 through donors to replace the boardwalk.

Plans to rehabilitate the boardwalk at the Gerald E. Eddy Discovery Center in Chelsea are underway.

According to the Chelsea Update, the boardwalk is badly worn due to years of wear from pedestrian foot traffic.

Volunteers with the Waterloo Natural History Association have set up a fund, and are hoping to raise $5,000 to replace the boardwalk prior to spring, just in time for school field trips.

Donations can be mailed to the Waterloo Natural History Association. Checks should be designated for the boardwalk fund, and sent to the Discovery Center at 17030 Bush Road, Chelsea, MI. 48118.
