Chelsea Veterans Day Service Set for Nov. 11

Local residents will honor veterans with a tribute at Veterans Park beginning at 1 p.m. Nov. 11.

The City of Chelsea will host its annual Veterans Day ceremony at 1 p.m. Nov. 11 at Veterans Park.

The ceremony will kick-off with a concert performance of "She’s a Grand Old Flag" by students from South Meadows Elementary School. The music will be followed by remarks from James Alford, a local resident and Vietnam War veteran.

Following the tribute, participants can enjoy refreshments and a reception for the screening of a Korean War documentary, which is a collection of perspectives of the war as told by members of the Chelsea community. The screening takes place at 2 p.m. at the Village Conference Center across from the Chelsea Comfort Inn.
