"Bag of Bears" Fundraiser Benefits Faith in Action

The Chelsea Teddy Bear Company is raffling off a bag of toys and stuffed animals to benefit the Faith in Action food pantry.

The Chelsea Teddy Bear Company is giving one lucky person a chance to walk away with more than $900 worth of Teddy bears and toys as part of a holiday fundraiser benefiting Faith in Action.

The company is selling $1 tickets for its "Bag O' Bears" now through Dec. 1. The large duffel bag is stuffed full of items from the company's store.

"You can enter as often as you want," employee Emily Johnson said.Β

Employees have set a goal of 2,000 entries, which translates into $2,000 that will benefit families in the community who look to Faith in Action for help.

"Faith in Action is always helping local families who many not be having the best luck this year. Each year there are families who would not have a Christmas morning if it wasn't for Faith In Action. There would be no food on the table and no presents to open. Help us help them with the funding, presents and food that is needed to make this year special for every family in need," Jessica Milliken, co-manager of the store said.

In addition to the Bag O' Bears drawing, the company will also host its annual bear cub run on Dec. 1. As part of Chelsea's Hometown Holiday festivities, the company choses several children at random to enter the store and take as many Teddy bears as possible before time runs out.

"The kids can keep the bears or donate them to a charity," Johnson said.
