Shop at Vogel's & Foster's During Small Business Saturday to Support Chelsea Schools

The business will donate a percentage of its proceeds throughout the weekend to Chelsea Schools.

Holiday shoppers looking for a reason to shop local during Small Business Saturday have another incentive through Vogel's & Foster's weekend "Chelsea Gold" sale.

According to owner Mike Jackson, the event is an alternative to Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

"It’s a way to remind the community to shop local and keep your money local," Jackson said. "I came up with the idea because I think its a nice way to give back to the community."

Jackson said he approached the Chelsea School District about donating a portion of sales throughout the weekend to the district.

"Our stellar schools draw people to the community, who then shop at our downtown stores," Jackson said. "I think its important to support the district anyway that we, as merchants, are able to do."
