The Chelsea Antiques Mall is hosting a month-long promotion with an in-store silent auction.

"We're trying something new to keep people coming through the doors," owner Ed Greenleaf said.

Four booths have been set up inside the mall with an item that customers can bid on. This month, items include a hanging shade (original price $295), a brass scale, toboggan with padding, and a flowered lamp.

"All of the auction items are typically marked down 75 percent below retail," Greenleaf said.

If the February auction is a success, Greenleaf said the store will continue to offer auction items in March and April.
