When Can You Hear Emmy-Winning Jeff Daniels of ‘Newsroom’ in Hometown Concerts?

Since winning the Emmy Award for lead actor in HBO's acclaimed series "The Newsroom," Purple Rose Theatre Co. founder has scaled back his concert appearances. But he's home for the holidays and you can hear him.

Emmy Award-winning “Newsroom” actor Jeff Daniels is home for the holidays and he’s performing several "Onstage and Unplugged" concerts at his Purple Rose Theatre Co. in Chelsea.

Daniels won an Emmy for his lead role on HBO’s acclaimed series, “The Newsroomm” and is also a prolific songwriter and playwright, according to a story on the Purple Rose web site.

Because of his “Newsroom” commitments, he has scaled back his concerts, but there are still some chances to see him:

Thursday, Dec. 26: 8 p.m.

Friday, Dec. 27, 8 p.m.

Sunday, Dec. 29, 8 p.m.

Tuesday, Dec. 31,  3 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Tickets are $75, except for the 8 p.m. show on New Year’s Eve. That’s $85.
