Driskell Campaign Hosts Coffee Hour at Ellie's Chocolate Cafe in Chelsea
Gretchen Driskell, Democratic candidate for Michigan's 52nd House District, will answer questions from residents on Oct. 3.
Saline Mayor Gretchen Driskell, Democratic candidate for Michigan's 52nd House District, will talk with residents at Ellie's Chocolate Cafe in Chelsea on Oct. 3 from 8:30-10 a.m.
Driskell is running against incumbent state Rep. Mark Ouimet, R-Scio Township.
Since launching her campaign, Driskell has been vocal in her criticism of the state's school funding mechanism.
"At a time when we need to be putting more resources into our classrooms, Lansing Republicans are taking resources away from our kids," Driskell said in a previous interview. "The past year we've seen school district after school district close schools, lay off teachers and squeeze more students into each classroom."

Well I hope Ms. Driskell can SPECIFICALLY explain what SHE did in this quoute from her campaign material:
"Driskell helped develop a long-term plan to improve local schools, and the results were dramatic. Saline is now ranked as one of the best in the country".
Okay the ranking part is true....the rest...political balderdash.
