Cell Phone, Tablet Stolen from Vehicle in Chelsea

The following information was supplied by the Chelsea Police Department. Arrests do not indicate a conviction.

 

The Chelsea Police Department is investigating a vehicle larceny that took place on Feb. 12 in the 14000 block of East Old US-12.

While on routine patrol, officers responded to a larceny from an automobile complaint. According to police, the vehicle owner stated that she had parked her vehicle in the parking lot around 5 p.m., and when she returned around 5:50 p.m., she noticed that her passenger-side front window had been broken and glass fragments were inside the vehicle.

After inspecting the vehicle, officers determined that multiple electronic devices — including a cell phone, laptop, and tablet device — were all missing from the vehicle. There are no suspects.

Credit Card Fraud

On Feb. 15, officers with the Chelsea Police Department, responded to the 300 block of Fairways Lane for a credit card fraud complaint. According to police, the card owner stated that she had just found out that her bank debit card had been used on three separate occasions at a Toys "R" Us in Fayetteville, GA. The woman stated that the transactions occurred between Feb. 14-15. The case remains open pending further investigation.
